Works with Applied Epic
Applied Systems says Epic offers APIs that let other tools read and write client and policy data, and it runs separate developer portals for Epic and for Ivans. In August 2026 Applied launched a Vendor Certification Program: each vendor goes through onboarding and certification, gets access to the latest Epic releases to keep its integration current, and customers can switch on a certified integration without buying anything extra from Applied. The first certified vendors included Quandri, Coverflow, Xilo, Sonant and Lightspeed. Carrier data reaches Epic separately through Ivans, which Applied owns: Ivans Download brings policy, claims, direct-bill commission and eDocs data in from more than 700 carrier markets, per Applied (October 2026). So when a vendor says it "integrates with Epic," it could mean a certified API connection, an API build under your agency's own API agreement, a bot that types into Epic's screens, or a file export you import. These differ in what gets written back, who maintains them after Epic updates, and what they cost you.

Ask before you buy
"Integrates with Applied Epic" can mean a lot of things
- Are you on Applied's certified vendor list, or does the connection run under an API agreement my agency must sign and pay Applied for?
- Which Epic records do you write back (activities, attachments, policies, lines, contacts), and which do you only read?
- Does the connection use Epic's API, or does a bot enter data through Epic's screens with a user login? Whose login, and who fixes it when Epic changes?
- Do you respect Epic's structure for agencies, branches, departments and profit centers, and the user's security permissions?
- Does Ivans download data stay the source of truth for policy details, or can your tool overwrite downloaded fields?
- Which Epic customers of our size can we call for a reference on this integration?
We list an integration only when the vendor documents it. A listing doesn't mean two-way sync; check the note on each tool. Updated Oct 30, 2026.
