Who wins with it

Choose it if

You run a personal lines book large enough that your team can't review, requote and contact every renewal, and you're on Applied Epic, AMS360 or HawkSoft.

Skip it if

Your pain is new-business quoting, commercial submissions or service intake rather than renewal retention.

The good and the catch

+Works every renewal, not a sample. Per the vendor, Quandri reviews each renewing policy from the AMS download, flags changes and gaps, and drafts a policy-specific email for every client.
+Requotes through a rater and portals. Its documentation says it requotes across the 300+ carriers in the Zywave rater and finalizes quotes in portals for priority carriers such as Travelers, Safeco, Progressive, Nationwide and Auto-Owners.
+Named customers and outside traction signals. Customers include Western Financial Group, BrokerLink and Blue Ridge Risk Partners; trade press reported 100+ agencies and US$20M+ raised as of July 2025.
+Certified Applied connection. Quandri was one of 11 inaugural vendors in Applied's Vendor Certification Program (August 2026), with no extra Applied purchase needed to activate.
−Narrow line coverage. The documented requoting and review workflows cover home and auto; commercial work started only with one policy check-in workflow in September 2026.
−Not every carrier is processed. The vendor's knowledge base says renewal reviews process about 90% of volume on average, and some MGAs and smaller carriers still need manual work.
−Outcome figures are vendor-reported. The site cites +2.3% retention in one place and +2% in another, plus 91% less manual renewal work, without a stated method.
−Pricing isn't public. There's no price list as of October 2026; you get a quote after a consultation and demo.

What it is

Quandri is renewal automation for independent agencies and brokerages. It connects to your AMS and works through renewing policies in the background. Brothers Jackson and Jamieson Fregeau founded it. The company is based in Vancouver, with a Boston office for its US customers.

In July 2025, Quandri announced a US$12 million round led by Framework Venture Partners, with Intact Ventures joining. Trade press reported more than 100 agencies and brokerages as customers at the time, and revenue up 15x since 2023. The vendor now cites US$22M raised and 2.5 million+ policies processed a year. Named customers include Western Financial Group, BrokerLink, Blue Ridge Risk Partners, Ausband Chapman and Fournier Insurance Solutions.

Quandri started in Canada. It launched requoting in the US in October 2025, added AMS360 and HawkSoft in April 2026, and partnered with FirstChoice in July 2026. In September 2026 it launched AI Workflows to move beyond renewals into servicing and revenue growth.

How it works

The vendor’s knowledge base describes the renewal flow for Applied Epic:

  1. Download. Renewal eDocs download into your AMS. Activities are assigned to a Quandri user code, automatically or by hand.
  2. Review. On a schedule you set, Quandri reviews each renewing policy and its account. It flags changes, missing coverage and at-risk clients, and writes its analysis into the activity notes.
  3. Prioritize. If a policy meets your trigger rules, it creates an extra activity so staff work the riskiest accounts first. A daily email lists what was and wasn’t reviewed.
  4. Requote. When a renewal premium rises past a threshold you set (a percentage or dollar amount), it pulls data from the AMS and runs it through the Zywave rater. If the rater returns competitive rates, it finalizes the quote in the carrier portal for priority carriers. Home and auto results show side by side for each carrier.
  5. Compare. Staff see premium and coverage comparisons, decline reasons, and fields that used default values. A summary of the top three quotes goes into the AMS activity note.
  6. Outreach. It drafts a personalized renewal email with changes, considerations and coverage recommendations. Account managers can edit the draft and choose to send or skip it.

Beyond renewals, the vendor lists account rounding (finding clients missing a line, such as home with no auto), book rolls after a carrier exit or acquisition, and book audits against your agency’s standards.

Where it’s strong

Full-book coverage. The pitch is simple: every renewal gets reviewed, and every client gets a tailored email. The vendor says most agencies reach only 20–30% of renewing clients on their own.

Real requoting. Quotes come from a comparative rater, then get finalized in carrier portals for priority carriers. Each quote is tagged by source so staff know how refined it is.

AMS-native. Work starts from AMS downloads and lands back in AMS activities. Applied certified Quandri in August 2026.

Customer evidence. Western Financial Group reports a 15% lift in personal lines EBITDA, and Blue Ridge Risk Partners a 1.5% retention gain (vendor case studies).

Security. SOC 2 (type not stated; reports on request), role-based access, encryption, and no training of external or public models on your data.

Where it falls short

Personal lines first. Documented workflows cover home and auto. The September 2026 release describes a policy check-in as the company’s “first commercial workflow”; commercial requoting isn’t documented.

Not new business. Quandri works the existing book. It doesn’t document intake, new-business quoting, ACORD prep or COIs.

Carrier gaps. The knowledge base puts average processing at about 90% of renewal volume. Some MGAs and smaller carriers still need manual work.

Still needs review. G2 reviewers say Quandri sometimes pulls incorrect coverage or vehicle details, so staff still check its output (Oct 2026).

Inconsistent figures. The site cites +2.3% retention in one place and +2% in another.

Pricing and setup

Pricing isn’t published as of October 2026. You start with a consultation and a tailored demo, which the vendor’s booking page says takes under 30 minutes. FirstChoice members get 15% off the first year. Setup involves connecting your AMS and configuring activity codes, triggers and schedules. Contract terms aren’t published.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Commercial-heavy agencies. An AI assistant built around submissions, ACORD forms and proposals fits better today.
  • Agencies whose bottleneck is new business. A comparative rater or AI quoting tool speeds up first quotes; Quandri starts at renewal.
  • Small shops with thin renewal volume. If your team already touches every renewal, a rater plus AMS renewal reports may be enough.

What agencies say

Reviewers say automated renewal reviews and client emails give staff real time back, and the team responds quickly to feedback. The recurring caveat is accuracy: the bot sometimes pulls wrong coverage or vehicle details, so staff still check its work.
