Who wins with it

Choose it if

Your staff fill ACORD 125, 126, 127 and 140 PDFs by hand from dec pages and AMS printouts and want a quick way to pre-fill them.

Skip it if

You want data to flow back into your AMS, or you need client-facing applications with e-signature.

The good and the catch

+Wide ACORD coverage. The vendor lists ACORD 25, 24, 125, 126, 127, 140, 101 and 35, and mentions 130 and 131 (Oct 2026).
+Reads varied sources. Inputs include AMS exports, dec pages in different carrier layouts, prior-year ACORDs, loss runs, certificate requests and SOVs.
+Consistent across a submission. One account's data is mapped across every form in the packet, with source explanations for filled fields.
+Published entry price. Self-service starts at $99/month for 50 documents; a free demo mode fills the first two pages.
−No AMS integration. It works from exports; the vendor says nothing syncs to Instafill.ai, so filled forms don't write back to your AMS.
−Not insurance-only. The same product serves legal, mortgage, construction and other industries, and the site names no agency customers.
−Plan limits to check. The pricing page caps self-service at 20 pages per document and 2 files per fill, while its FAQ says there's no page limit.
−No SOC 2 stated. The pricing page cites AES-256 encryption and HIPAA BAAs but doesn't mention SOC 2 (Oct 2026).

What it is

Instafill.ai is an AI form-filling tool from Botmakers LLC, a Delaware company. It fills fillable PDFs and Word documents from source files. Insurance is one of several markets: the site also has solutions for legal, mortgage, construction, credentialing and BPO work.

Its insurance page targets agencies, brokers and MGAs that fill ACORD forms. It uses a language model rather than fixed templates, so it can read dec pages in different carrier layouts. It doesn’t make coverage decisions. Carrier selection and binding stay with the agency.

How it works

Per the vendor’s ACORD page (October 2026):

  1. Drop in inputs. AMS exports, dec pages, prior-year ACORDs, loss runs, certificate requests and statements of value.
  2. The agent fills the forms. It fills ACORDs across the submission and keeps one account’s data consistent from form to form. Supported forms include ACORD 125 (commercial application), 126 (GL), 127 (business auto), 140 (property), 101 (additional remarks), 25 and 24 (certificates) and 35 (cancellation request). The page also mentions 130 (WC) and 131 (umbrella).
  3. Review and edit. The product shows source explanations for filled fields and lets you edit the PDF visually before export.
  4. The agency decides. Staff review coverages, pick carriers and bind.

At renewal, prior-year ACORDs can be the starting point. Files stay where they are; the vendor says nothing syncs to Instafill.ai. It also offers Chrome and Edge extensions, an API, an n8n integration and connectors for Claude and ChatGPT.

Where it’s strong

Form breadth. Few intake tools cover both submission forms (125, 126, 127, 140) and certificate forms (25, 24) in one product.

Source-agnostic. Because it reads exports and documents instead of connecting to an AMS, it works the same whether you’re on Applied Epic, AMS360, EZLynx or HawkSoft.

Cross-form consistency. Mapping one account’s data across the whole packet reduces the mismatched-answer errors that come from filling forms one at a time.

Easy to try. Self-service starts at $99/month for 50 documents, and a free demo mode shows results on the first two pages.

Where it falls short

No write-back. Filled forms don’t update your AMS. You still attach them and keep the AMS current yourself.

Generic product. It isn’t built only for insurance. The ACORD page names no customer agencies and cites only one anonymous account manager. Its time-saving claims aren’t measured.

Plan details conflict. The pricing page caps self-service at 20 pages per document and 2 source files per fill, but the FAQ says there’s no page limit. Confirm before relying on it for large SOVs or loss runs.

Security posture. The vendor cites AES-256 encryption, Microsoft Azure storage (US by default), no training on customer data and HIPAA BAAs, but doesn’t mention SOC 2 (as of October 2026). Many agencies require it.

Few independent reviews. We found no review-site listing specific to its insurance use.

Pricing and setup

Self-service Tier 1 is $99/month for 50 documents, with each fill using one credit. An unlimited self-service option and a done-for-you plan exist, priced to volume, with no published figure (as of October 2026). Setup is self-serve.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Applied Epic commercial agencies. A client-facing application portal with two-way Epic sync keeps form data in your system of record.
  • Personal lines agencies. A tool that collects prior coverage from the prospect’s carrier and pushes it to your rater fits that workflow better than ACORD PDFs.
  • Agencies that want the whole quote handled. An AI quoting agent that reads documents and also works carrier portals goes further than filling forms.
