The short version

Both are AI tools that connect to your AMS and take work off agency staff. They target different work.

Cooper calls itself an AI coworker for insurance. Its documented strength is commercial new business: reading dec pages and loss runs, filling ACORD forms, entering risks in carrier portals and drafting proposals. It also documents renewals and COIs. It’s young, with no public reviews or named customers yet.

Quandri works personal lines renewals in the background. It reviews each renewing policy, requotes through a rater and carrier portals, and drafts a client email. It has named customers and trade press coverage, but it’s narrow outside home and auto renewals.

Both became Applied-certified integrations for Epic in 2026.

Carriers and lines

Cooper lists property, GL, workers’ comp, commercial auto, cyber and E&S, plus home, personal auto and umbrella. The vendor says it works in live carrier portals and names carriers such as Travelers, Chubb and The Hanover, describing reach as “hundreds” of carriers. It publishes no carrier list or count.

Quandri documents home and auto. Its knowledge base says it requotes across the 300+ carriers in the Zywave rater and finalizes quotes in carrier portals for priority carriers: Travelers, Safeco, Progressive, Nationwide and Auto-Owners. Renewal reviews process about 90% of volume on average, and some MGAs and smaller carriers still need manual work. In September 2026 it added a policy check-in, its first commercial workflow. Commercial requoting isn’t documented.

Workflow and integrations

Cooper takes forwarded emails and attachments or reads from your AMS and SharePoint. It fills ACORD 125, 126 and 140 and carrier supplements, builds a statement of values and loss summary, and flags only items that need a person. It enters the risk in several carrier portals, maps quotes into one comparison and drafts the proposal in your template. It then writes back to your AMS and tracks renewals. For wholesalers it adds appetite screening and surplus lines filings. It doesn’t say how carrier credentials are stored or what happens when a portal asks a question the documents don’t answer.

Cooper lists Applied Epic, AMS360, HawkSoft and EZLynx. It became an Applied Certified Partner on September 28, 2026. The full product lists SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA compliance, role-based access and audit logs.

Quandri starts from renewal downloads in your AMS. It reviews each renewing policy on your schedule and writes notes into AMS activities. It requotes policies above a premium threshold, puts a top-three summary in the activity, and drafts a renewal email for account managers to review. It also lists account rounding, book rolls and book audits.

Quandri integrates with Applied Epic, AMS360 and HawkSoft. It was one of 11 inaugural vendors in Applied’s Vendor Certification Program in August 2026. It states SOC 2 compliance (type not stated) with reports on request.

Pricing and contracts

Cooper publishes one price. Cooper Lite costs $99 a month introductory ($499 list) for up to 5 users, month-to-month, with a 7-day money-back guarantee (October 2026). Lite works from your inbox and files only. It excludes AMS integrations, raters, portal submission and the SOC 2 controls. Full product pricing comes through a demo.

Quandri doesn’t publish pricing. You start with a discovery call and demo. FirstChoice members get 15% off the first year. Contract terms aren’t published.

On evidence, Quandri has more outside signals. It names customers including Western Financial Group and BrokerLink, and trade press reported 100+ agency customers and a US$12 million round in July 2025. Cooper names no customer agencies, and we found no G2 or Capterra reviews for either. Both cite outcome figures without a stated method.

Which one should you pick?

  • Commercial agencies and wholesalers: Cooper. Its documented workflows are commercial submissions, proposals and COIs.
  • Personal lines agencies with large renewal books: Quandri. Reviewing and requoting every renewal is its core job.
  • Agencies that want to try AI cheaply first: Cooper Lite’s published price and money-back guarantee lower the risk, but it isn’t the full product.
  • Buyers who weigh track record heavily: Quandri has named customers and outside coverage. Ask Cooper for references.
  • Agencies whose bottleneck is new business: Cooper covers first quotes. Quandri starts at renewal.
