Who wins with it

Choose it if

You write mostly home and auto, want your rater and AMS on one browser-based platform, and don't need complex agency accounting.

Skip it if

You run a large commercial or multi-branch agency that needs a full general ledger and deep commercial servicing.

The good and the catch

+Rater and AMS on one platform. EZLynx says pairing the management system with its Rating Engine (330+ carriers, 48 states, home and auto) means no data transfer between systems.
+Fully cloud-based. The vendor's FAQ says the system runs in a browser with a mobile-optimized experience and no software to install.
+AI features built in. EZLynx lists EVA features that import carrier commission statements, summarize account history, draft emails and auto-reply to simple texts such as ID card requests.
+Broad partner list. The partners page shows 39 logos as of October 2026, including Ivans, Intuit QuickBooks, AssureSign, Canopy Connect, Tarmika, Salt and Zapier.
−No public pricing. The pricing page says cost depends on users and products, with no flat rate; network members usually get a discount.
−Data conversion costs extra. EZLynx's onboarding page says data import support is only available if you buy a data service, and 1:1 training is also sold separately.
−Commercial rating details are thin. The vendor promotes a commercial submission tool but doesn't publish which commercial lines or how many carriers it covers.
−Accounting depth isn't documented. The accounting page covers agency-billed premiums, commission reconciliation and Applied Pay, but doesn't mention trust accounting or a general ledger.

What it is

The EZLynx Management System is a cloud agency management system (AMS) for independent P&C agencies. It handles personal and commercial lines policies, servicing, sales, renewals, accounting and payments in one client record. It is a separate product from the EZLynx Rating Engine, the company’s personal lines comparative rater, but both run on the same platform.

EZLynx was founded in 2003 and began selling agency management products in 2011, according to Insurance Journal. Applied Systems, which also owns Applied Epic, agreed to acquire EZLynx in January 2021. The vendor calls it the most widely used AMS in the industry and says 100+ new agencies choose EZLynx each month (as of October 2026). We couldn’t verify the “most widely used” claim.

How it works

Based on EZLynx’s product and solution pages, a typical flow runs like this:

  1. Capture and nurture leads. A built-in CRM uses a card-based sales funnel, bulk lead import, and automated email and drip campaigns. EVA can draft marketing emails.
  2. Rate. Personal lines quotes run in the embedded rater, which EZLynx says covers 330+ carriers in 48 states for home and auto. A commercial submission tool lets you enter a risk once and submit to multiple carriers, with appetite lookup powered by Ask Kodiak.
  3. Download policies. Once a policy is bound, daily policy downloads keep records current. Ivans appears on the partner list.
  4. Service. Staff update policies, track communication and manage documents. Clients use a 24/7 self-service portal. EVA can auto-reply to simple texts, such as ID card or vehicle questions.
  5. Renew and retain. EZLynx describes a patented retention workflow and automated renewal quoting.
  6. Account for it. The system collects agency-billed premiums, reconciles commissions to pay producers and takes digital payments through Applied Pay. EVA can import carrier commission statements.

Where it’s strong

One system for personal lines. Among the AMS products on this site, it’s the only one with a 330+ carrier home and auto rater on the same platform. That cuts re-keying if your day is mostly quoting.

Browser-based. EZLynx says the system needs no software install and works on mobile browsers. That suits remote and multi-location teams.

Built-in AI. EVA’s features target real servicing work: commission statement import, account summaries, Outlook thread summaries and automated text replies. EZLynx doesn’t say whether EVA costs extra.

Partners. The partner page lists 39 logos as of October 2026. They include QuickBooks for operating accounting, AssureSign for e-signature, Canopy Connect, Tarmika, Salt and Zapier.

What agencies tell us

A Mountain West ops lead told us clearing MFA on six to eight carrier portals per quote “just kills that process.” It’s a big reason his team keeps a rater that reaches carriers by API, which is how the EZLynx rater on this platform works. The caveat is downloads. One agency told us 15% or more of its book doesn’t come through download, mostly broker-placed and commercial policies, and those are kept up by hand. That’s a carrier download limit, not an EZLynx one, but ask any AMS vendor how it handles policies that don’t download.

Where it falls short

Commercial depth is undocumented. EZLynx promotes commercial submissions but publishes no list of commercial lines or carrier count. Agencies with complex commercial books should ask for a live demo of certificates, endorsements and schedules.

Accounting scope. The accounting page doesn’t mention trust accounting or a full general ledger. Larger agencies with agency-bill volume should confirm what’s included.

Extra-cost onboarding. Data import requires a purchased data service, and 1:1 training is sold separately.

Reporting and integrations. G2 reviewers of the EZLynx platform cite limited reporting unless you buy a reporting add-on, and fewer third-party integrations than they’d like (Oct 2026).

Pricing and setup

EZLynx doesn’t publish prices (as of October 2026). Its pricing page says cost depends on the number of users and the products you choose. There’s no flat rate, and members of agency networks usually get a discount. A free trial is offered; its length isn’t stated.

According to the onboarding page, most teams are up and running within a few weeks, depending on scope. Live training, on-demand videos and weekly Q&A office hours are included. Data import from your old system requires buying a data service. We could not confirm contract length or cancellation terms.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Large commercial or multi-branch agencies. An enterprise AMS such as Applied Epic or AMS360 documents deeper accounting, commercial servicing and benefits support.
  • Agencies that want short, simple contracts. A desktop-plus-cloud AMS such as HawkSoft publishes month-to-month terms with no exit fees.
  • Agencies happy with their current AMS. If you only need the rater, the EZLynx Rating Engine is sold separately.

What agencies say

Reviewers value having the comparative rater and the management system in one place, with a clean interface. Complaints include weak reporting without a paid reports add-on, afternoon slowdowns, carrier downloads and eDocs that don't cover every carrier, and few third-party and AI integrations.
