Who wins with it
You're a small personal lines agency that wants a cloud AMS with a sales pipeline and a two-way link to PL Rating.
You write complex commercial accounts or need full agency accounting; Vertafore positions AMS360 for that.
The good and the catch
What it is
QQCatalyst is a cloud agency management system (AMS) from Vertafore, the company behind AMS360 and Sagitta. It covers policy and client records, tasks, email marketing, a sales pipeline and reporting. Vertafore acquired its developer, QQ Solutions of Deerfield Beach, Florida, on June 16, 2015, and described it then as a SaaS-based AMS.
It’s still on sale as of October 2026. Vertafore’s product page offers demos and links to data sheets dated March 2026. The carrier partner list, which Vertafore describes as its connectivity report, was updated September 16, 2026.
Vertafore positions QQCatalyst as the simplest of its three AMS products. Its AMS comparison page says QQCatalyst is for agencies “prioritizing speed and simplicity” and is best for personal lines and simple policies. AMS360 is aimed at agencies that need structure and commercial workflows, and Sagitta at enterprise agencies.
How it works
Based on Vertafore’s product page and 2026 data sheets:
- Work prospects in Salesroom. A built-in pipeline manager tracks prospects through the sales cycle and flags cross-sell gaps in current accounts.
- Quote in PL Rating. PL Rating is Vertafore’s personal lines comparative rater, sold separately. Client, driver, vehicle, coverage and policy-term fields bridge into QQCatalyst as a customer or prospect. Prospects land in Salesroom automatically.
- Nurture automatically. New customers and prospects enter automated “Smartflows” that send scheduled communications.
- Remarket at renewal. From an existing policy, you can bridge data back into PL Rating to requote with the current carrier or others.
- Service and track. Policy Management gives clients a summary of current and future policies. Dashboards, task automation and automated emails support servicing.
- Report. Vertafore says QQCatalyst has 50+ prebuilt and customizable reports, including book-of-business analysis.
Where it’s strong
Sales built in. Many AMS products leave pipelines and email campaigns to a separate CRM. QQCatalyst includes Salesroom and Agency Intelligence email campaigns in the core system.
PL Rating link. The two-way integration means a home and auto quote becomes a client record without re-keying. Remarketing at renewal starts from the policy already in the system.
Cloud access. No server or desktop install is required, according to Vertafore.
Staff oversight. Employee Productivity and Time Clock features help small-agency owners see who is doing what.
Where it falls short
Limited for commercial. Vertafore’s own comparison describes QQCatalyst’s accounting as built for basic needs and steers complex commercial lines to AMS360. Its 2022 upgrade data sheet pitches AMS360 for agencies that need more accounting and commercial tools.
Partner-dependent extras. Client apps, marketing automation and payments come through Vertafore’s Orange Partner program. In a 2023 Vertafore case study, a three-person agency used Agency Revolution’s Fuse and Insurance Agent App alongside QQCatalyst.
Sparse documentation. Vertafore publishes less detail for QQCatalyst than for AMS360. We found no public documentation of texting, e-signature or carrier download setup.
Speed and email. G2 reviewers mention slow loading and clunky email and texting inside the system (Oct 2026).
Pricing and setup
Vertafore doesn’t publish QQCatalyst pricing (as of October 2026). Ask for a quote that separates the AMS, PL Rating and any Orange Partner add-ons.
We couldn’t confirm contract terms, conversion services or onboarding timelines. Ask how data comes over from your current system, who does the conversion and what it costs.
Who should look elsewhere
- Agencies with growing commercial books. AMS360 is Vertafore’s documented upgrade path, with fuller accounting and commercial lines workflows.
- Personal lines agencies that want the rater on the same platform. The EZLynx Management System builds a 330+ carrier home and auto rater into the AMS.
- Agencies that want published contract terms. HawkSoft publishes month-to-month terms with no exit fees.
What agencies say
Reviewers find it simple for day-to-day client and policy work, with automatic carrier downloads and tasks. Complaints include slow screens, clunky email and texting, gaps in downloads and reporting, and updates that introduce new issues.
