Who wins with it

Choose it if

You're a small agency that wants clients to send dec pages through a branded link and get structured data and draft ACORDs back for a low, published price.

Skip it if

You need a deep commercial application portal with carrier supplementals, e-signature and two-way AMS sync.

The good and the catch

+Published, low price. One plan with all features at $99/month, or $79/month billed annually, with a free trial (Oct 2026).
+Collection plus extraction. Clients send dec pages by link, SMS, email or QR code; AI extracts limits, premiums, deductibles and carrier details into structured data.
+ACORD generation. Since July 2026 it maps intake and policy data into editable ACORD 125, 126, 130, 140, 80 and 185 forms for agent review.
+Connects to common small-agency tools. The vendor names HawkSoft, EZLynx, AgencyZoom, TurboRater and Zapier.
−Mostly vendor claims. Figures like 99% extraction accuracy and 450+ carriers come from the vendor's site, without a stated method.
−Security details not published. The site links to a security page but the homepage names no certification such as SOC 2 (Oct 2026).
−Few independent reviews. We found only a handful of public user reviews, too few to draw themes from.
−Shallow commercial depth. ACORD output covers the core forms, but the vendor doesn't document carrier supplementals or sending submissions to carriers.

What it is

InsurGrid is a policy data collection and extraction tool for P&C agencies. It started as a way to get dec pages from prospects without the email chase, and has grown into intake forms, AI policy extraction, coverage comparison and ACORD form generation.

The company is based in San Francisco. Coverager’s July 2026 coverage names Rohit Mittal as CEO, says Helium Ventures acquired InsurGrid and reports revenue up 50% since the acquisition. The vendor says it serves more than 2,500 insurance agents (as of October 2026).

How it works

Per the vendor’s site and the July 2026 launch announcement:

  1. Collect documents. The agency sends a branded link by email or SMS, shows a QR code, or embeds the intake on its website. Clients upload dec pages and policy documents, and InsurGrid can also request loss runs.
  2. Custom intake forms. A form builder lets the agency add its own questions for submissions and renewals.
  3. Extract the data. AI reads PDFs and ACORD forms into structured data: limits, premiums, deductibles and carrier details. It flags exclusions, endorsements and gaps. The vendor says it reads dec pages from 450+ carriers.
  4. Generate ACORDs. Launched July 20, 2026, the ACORD Form Generator maps intake and policy data into editable ACORD 125, 126, 130, 140, 80 and 185 forms. An agent reviews and edits before use.
  5. Send it on. Data goes to an AMS, CRM or rater. The vendor names HawkSoft, EZLynx, AgencyZoom, TurboRater and Zapier.

The site also lists proposals, policy comparison, renewal workflows, COI automation and flood-zone alerts, but gives little detail on those.

Where it’s strong

Price. At $99/month, or $79/month billed annually, with every feature on one plan, it’s one of the cheapest ways to add dec page collection and ACORD drafts (as of October 2026). Coverager reported that the new intake forms and ACORD generator are included in that plan.

Covers personal and commercial basics. The vendor lists auto, home, umbrella, flood, GL, workers’ comp and cyber. The ACORD set covers the commercial application, GL, WC and property sections plus homeowners and dwelling forms.

Agent review built in. The ACORD output is editable and meant for agent review, which is the right control for E&O.

Self-serve start. A free trial and a published price mean a small agency can test it on real files without a sales cycle.

Where it falls short

Unverified claims. The vendor states 99% extraction accuracy, more than 100,000 dec pages processed and “10x faster” quoting. None comes with a method. Test it on your own documents.

Security not spelled out. The homepage links to a security page but doesn’t name certifications. Ask for SOC 2 or equivalent before sending client data.

Little independent feedback. We found only a few public user reviews, and they were mixed, too few to summarize.

No carrier submission step. InsurGrid produces data and forms. It doesn’t document sending submissions to carriers or filling carrier supplementals.

Pricing and setup

One plan, all features: $99/month, or $79/month billed annually (as of October 2026). A free trial is available and you upgrade from the billing page. Setup is self-serve: brand your links, connect Zapier or a named integration, and start sending.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Commercial agencies with heavy applications. A full application portal with a large carrier supplemental library, client e-signature and two-way AMS sync handles complex accounts better.
  • Personal lines agencies that want carrier-verified data. A tool that pulls coverage directly from the prospect’s carrier login avoids relying on uploaded documents.
  • Agencies that need audited security first. Choose a vendor that publishes SOC 2 Type II status.
