Who wins with it

Choose it if

You currently outsource policy checking and want AI checking with a human quality layer, priced per policy rather than per seat or FTE.

Skip it if

You want published pricing, a documented list of AMS integrations, or an independent audit beyond SOC 2 Type I before you buy.

The good and the catch

+Long track record. The vendor cites more than 15 years of policy lifecycle work and says 6 of the 15 largest US brokers use its products (Oct 2025).
+Humans handle the exceptions. The vendor's SaaS+ model routes cases the AI can't resolve to its own staff and backs every check with a quality guarantee.
+Per-policy pricing. The vendor says it charges per policy, with no platform, seat or per-page fees, and no page limits on long PDFs.
+Covers the policy round trip. Besides checking, the suite does coverage gap reviews, quote comparison, proposals and endorsement requests from flagged variances.
−Few public specifics. As of October 2026 the vendor doesn't publish prices, named AMS integrations beyond HawkSoft, or the lines its checks cover.
−Security attestation is Type I. The vendor lists ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type I and HIPAA; Type I tests controls at a point in time, not over a period.
−Inconsistent scale figures. An October 2025 release cites 3,000+ daily CSR users and 2M+ policies; the current site cites 10,000 CSRs and 5M+ policies.
−Case studies are anonymous. Its published case studies (65% less checking time, $750,000 saved) don't name the agencies, apart from partner mentions of INSURICA and The Hummel Group.

What it is

Exdion sells AI tools for the policy lifecycle at US P&C agencies and brokers. Policy checking is its core product. The company is based in Plano, Texas, with operations in Bangalore, and is led by founder and CEO L.S. Ram. In October 2025 it launched EyeQ, a CSR-facing assistant that sits on top of its products, with voice input and structured outputs such as variance highlights.

The vendor says it serves 6 of the top 15 US brokers. HawkSoft lists Exdion as a strategic partner and describes it as serving both commercial and personal lines agencies.

How it works

Exdion publishes less step-by-step detail than some vendors. From its homepage and comparison page:

  1. Pull documents. The vendor says it integrates with leading AMS platforms, so documents are pulled without a workflow change. It names no specific AMS on its own site; HawkSoft confirms a partnership.
  2. Check the policy. The AI identifies the coverages, limits and deductibles in the policy and compares them against the expected terms. The vendor cites an “E&O gold standard” of 31 checkpoints for commercial lines and 20 for personal lines, and says it doesn’t cap page counts.
  3. Route exceptions. Under its SaaS+ model, the vendor says software handles about 70–80% of volume and its staff handle the rest.
  4. Act on variances. The Endorsements module drafts endorsement requests from detected variances, with an Outlook and AMS connection, according to the vendor.

Where it’s strong

Experience. The vendor cites more than 15 years of policy lifecycle work. Its awards in 2025 and 2026 include a Business Insurance recognition for its partnership with The Hummel Group.

A human safety net. Agencies moving off an outsourcing provider get software plus a staffed exception queue, rather than an AI-only tool their CSRs must police.

Simple pricing model. The vendor says it charges per policy, without seat licenses, platform fees or per-page charges.

Beyond checking. Coverage gap review, quote comparison across 58 data points, proposal building and endorsement requests round out the suite.

Where it falls short

Thin public detail. As of October 2026, the vendor’s site doesn’t publish prices, supported lines or named AMS integrations. Expect to get those only in a sales process.

Security evidence. The vendor lists ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type I and HIPAA. Ask whether a SOC 2 Type II report is available.

Moving numbers. Scale claims differ between the October 2025 release (3,000+ CSRs, 2M+ policies, $1B+ in potential E&O claims saved) and the current site (10,000 CSRs, 5M+ policies, $1.6B).

Anonymous outcomes. Case study results such as 65% less checking time and 40% lower operating costs don’t name the client.

Pricing and setup

Pricing isn’t published as of October 2026. The vendor says it uses transparent per-policy pricing and offers two service tiers, CSR PRO and CSR PLUS, priced differently. It claims zero setup and no extra training, since it works from your AMS. Get the AMS connection method and turnaround times in writing.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Small agencies that want to start cheaply. A self-service checker with published monthly plans and a free trial lowers the cost of trying AI checking.
  • Applied Epic shops wanting certified integration. A vendor in Applied’s certification program documents how data moves in and out of Epic.
  • Personal lines renewal teams. A renewal-review tool that also requotes and drafts client emails covers more of the work.
