Semsee vs Tarmika Bridge

Pick Semsee for wider small-commercial lines and published pricing on any AMS. Pick Tarmika Bridge if you run Applied Epic or EZLynx and want quoting tied to your AMS.

Choose Semsee if

You quote cyber, professional and management lines alongside BOP and WC, you're not on an Applied AMS, or you want to start on a free tier.

Choose Tarmika Bridge if

You run Applied Epic or EZLynx, quote mostly BOP, WC, GL and cyber through your own appointments, and want account data to pre-fill the application.

The short version

Both tools let you enter a small-commercial risk once and send it to several carriers. The difference is who they’re built around.

Semsee is independent of any AMS vendor. It covers more lines, publishes its prices and has a free tier. Its AMS integration is thin, and it changed owners in March 2026 when iBynd bought it, according to Coverager.

Tarmika Bridge belongs to Applied Systems, which also makes Applied Epic and EZLynx. Its main advantage is that fit. The open question is its future: as of October 2026, tarmika.com redirects to Applied’s Epic commercial quoting page, and Applied runs a webinar on switching from Tarmika to Epic Quotes Commercial Lines.

Both products are in transition. Ask either vendor for a written roadmap before you sign.

Carriers and lines

Semsee lists seven lines on its agent page: BOP, workers’ comp, GL, professional liability, management liability, cyber and commercial auto. Its homepage showed 46 carrier logos as of October 2026, including Liberty Mutual, Travelers, Chubb, CNA, The Hanover, Nationwide, Coalition, At-Bay and Pie.

Tarmika Bridge covers BOP, workers’ comp, GL and cyber, according to Applied. Applied’s product sheet cites more than 35 commercial markets connected through Ivans. A vendor-supplied carrier list on the Catalyit directory (June 2024) includes Liberty Mutual, Travelers, Chubb, CNA, Hanover, Nationwide, AmTrust, Markel, Westfield, Employers and Coterie.

The two panels overlap heavily on the big standard carriers. Semsee reaches further into cyber and professional specialists. Neither shows The Hartford, Progressive or NEXT in the lists we reviewed. A logo or list entry doesn’t mean the carrier is live in your state, so check your top carriers by state with either vendor.

Both offer a route to markets you aren’t appointed with: Semsee Market Access and Applied’s Market Access. Neither publishes the terms.

Workflow and integrations

Semsee starts with a free Appetite Checker. You build the application from scratch, from an ACORD upload or from a client intake form. Semsee then submits by API or by automated portal entry (RPA). Results come back as tiles with clear statuses, such as Finish in Carrier Portal or Declined with a reason. For appointed carriers, you bind through a deep link into the carrier’s portal. HawkSoft is the only AMS integration Semsee documents, and it pulls client data into Semsee. We found nothing showing quotes flowing back to an AMS.

Tarmika Bridge pre-fills from Applied Epic or EZLynx. A classification search powered by Ask Kodiak shows which markets are in appetite, and a single question set removes duplicate underwriting questions. You compare bindable rates side by side, then carry the data to the carrier’s portal to bind. It can also generate pre-filled ACORD forms for markets that aren’t connected. Inside Epic, Epic Quotes Commercial Lines (released September 2024) runs Tarmika’s rating natively and creates a policy shell when you mark a quote sold.

In both tools, binding with appointed carriers finishes in the carrier portal.

Pricing and contracts

Semsee publishes pricing as of October 2026. Essential is free and covers Semsee’s appointed carriers. Professional is $50 per user per month and adds quoting through your own direct appointments. Enterprise is priced through sales. We could not confirm a contract term.

Applied publishes no Tarmika pricing. Its pages offer a demo request, a sales contact and an ROI calculator. Contract terms aren’t published either.

Which one should you pick?

  • Applied Epic agencies: Tarmika’s rating is the natural fit, and Applied is steering you toward Epic Quotes Commercial Lines. Ask whether to buy Bridge or go straight to the Epic module.
  • EZLynx agencies: Bridge integrates today, but ask Applied how long standalone Bridge will be supported.
  • HawkSoft agencies: Semsee documents a HawkSoft pull. Applied documents Bridge integrations only for Epic and EZLynx.
  • Agencies selling cyber, professional or management lines to small businesses: Semsee’s wider line list fits better.
  • Small or new agencies watching cost: Semsee’s free tier lets you test before paying, though you’ll need Professional to quote your own appointments.
